Position OverviewFujifilm's Data Storage Solutions division provides magnetic storage tape to customers around the world, supporting mission critical data retention needs across a wide range of industries. Magnetic tape is recognized as a core component of modern data center infrastructure, valued for its reliability, cost efficiency, and low power consumption in large scale and long-term data archival.
As AI workloads drive data volumes to grow at an unprecedented pace, demand for Fujifilm's magnetic tape is expanding rapidly. To further accelerate this growth and strengthen our engagement with key hyperscale customers, we are adding an experienced Account Manager to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing revenue, building and maintaining long term relationships, and serving as a primary point of contact for purchasing, supply chain, engineering, and related functions within major hyperscale accounts.
This position is remote and based on the West Coast.Job DescriptionResponsibilities- Manage and deepen relationships with existing hyperscale customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and trust.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts, leading end-to-end proposal and leveraging the growing demand for tape-based storage.
- Develop and implement account strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase FUJIFILM's share of business within each account.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders at customer organizations (e.g., purchasing, engineering, SCM) and maintain strong relationships at various organizational levels.
- Strengthen relationships with system integration partners and establish a seamless co-operation for hyperscale customers
- Collaborate closely with internal technical, supply chain, and operations support teams, as well as Tokyo headquarters, to align sales activities and to ensure effective coordination between customer requests and internal operations
- Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide input to internal stakeholders to support production scheduling and inventory planning.
- Review and negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and conditions in cooperation with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations.
- Monitor market trends in storage, data centers, and hyperscale ecosystems, and provide structured feedback to internal teams to support product and business planning.
Required Skills/Education- Minimum of 10 years of account management experience, preferably in the IT industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, strategic enterprise customers.
- Experience in selling IT-related products (software and/or hardware).
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
Desired Skills- Knowledge of storage, cloud, or data center industries.
- Direct sales or account management experience with hyperscale customers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other large-scale cloud service providers).
- Experience in selling storage hardware such as SSDs and HDDs, and/or other data-center-grade storage systems.
- Experience working in a global organization and coordinating with overseas headquarters (e.g., Tokyo).
- Willingness to travel to customer sites approximately once per month within North America.
- Occasional international travel to Japan to accompany key customers and to coordinate with Tokyo headquarters
Salary and Benefits- Salary: $120,000 plus bonus depending on experience.
