Full Job Description
About the role:

We're looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to support and grow Clutch's wholesale portfolio. In this role, you'll own a Portfolio of Accounts and be responsible for building strong client relationships, driving repeat sales, and expanding your portfolio through new account acquisition.

You'll play a key role in revenue growth by understanding your clients' businesses, identifying opportunities, and executing consistent outreach across multiple channels.

What you'll do:
  • Own the performance and growth of your portfolio of wholesale accounts - build strong relationships and actively leverage them to drive sales, increase bid activity, and maximize account value
  • Source and onboard new dealer accounts - expand your portfolio by identifying, prospecting, and converting new business opportunities
  • Drive account activity and auction participation (Eblock, Openlane etc.) across your portfolio by proactively generating demand, securing autobids, and increasing bid activity
  • Engage accounts in meaningful, sales-focused conversations - discuss specific inventory, match vehicles to account needs, and actively push for bids and autobids
  • Execute the full auction cycle - build demand ahead of auctions, actively drive participation from accounts during auctions to increase bidding activity, and follow up post-auction to gather feedback and maintain momentum
  • Maintain consistent portfolio coverage - actively manage your accounts, prioritize outreach based on opportunity, re-engage inactive dealers, and ensure consistent contact across your portfolio
  • Operate with speed and urgency - address dealer issues, including arbitrations and post-sale concerns, while maintaining momentum on sales and account activity
  • Maintain high daily outreach activity - consistently connect with accounts to meet defined KPIs and drive portfolio performance
  • Track performance and activity - use tools like HubSpot to manage your pipeline, document activity, and monitor results

What we're looking for:
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills, with a track record of driving measurable results
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and KPI-driven environment with clear expectations and accountability
  • Highly motivated and driven by targets, KPIs, and daily activity - able to maintain consistent outreach and engagement across a large portfolio
  • Strong communicator who can lead effective, sales-focused conversations - able to discuss specific inventory, handle objections, and drive bids and autobids
  • Ability to operate with speed and urgency - quickly address account needs, resolve issues, and move seamlessly between customer support and sales
  • Organized and detail-oriented - able to manage a high volume of accounts, track activity, and maintain consistent follow-up
  • Positive, coachable attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and take feedback
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of their performance and follows through consistently
  • A valid OMVIC license is required, or you must be willing to obtain one within the first month of employment.
  • Must be comfortable working 100% on-site at our Mississauga facility

It'd be great if you have:
  • Experience using dealership management systems or wholesale marketplaces
  • Familiarity with vehicle auction processes

Why you'll love it at Clutch:
  • Autonomy & ownership - opportunity to build your process and influence the company workforce and at every level.
  • Help shape the future of car buying and selling in Canada by leading a critical part of our customer experience.
  • We are dedicated to attracting and retaining top talent with top-of-market compensation packages.
  • Above market health & dental benefits.

Employment Type:
  • Existing, Permanent Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Wage: OTE $96,000-$106,000 (base salary including sales incentive plan)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits plans include healthcare, dental care, vision care, prescriptions, life insurance and dependent coverage; start from day 1. (Applicable for Permanent Full-Time)
  • Pay decisions reflect objective criteria: skills, performance, market benchmarking, responsibilities and working conditions.
