Do you have one? Indeed’s list of “The Best Jobs in the United States: 2018” features 25 jobs that are currently shaking up the site.
Indeed analyzed positions in terms of which appeared most frequently on the site since 2014, and the paycheck ($75,000 minimum). There also had to be a minimum of 15 postings per million. The data showed that this year, there was more diversity in terms of the roles — with Indeed noting that instead of being as tech-driven as the 2017 list, the 2018 list saw improvements from the healthcare and construction sectors.

Construction positions abound
In addition to having two positions in the Top 10, construction estimator (#12) and construction manager (#19) also made the Top 25. But while the site cautioned that research shows that searches for this industry are slipping, the industry seems to be welcoming in terms of basic credentials they seek from manager-level employees.
Healthcare jobs make the cut
While optometrist (#7) cracked the Top 10, several other healthcare positions finished in the Top 25 — staff pharmacist (#16), senior clinical specialist (#22) and registered nurses with a specialization in infusion (#24). “RN” and “registered nurse” has also reportedly landed on Indeed’s Top 10 overall searched positions for last year.
Don’t forget about tech jobs
They’re still here — just like last year.
Indeed reports that agile coach (#11) and user experience researcher (#23) were among the new tech jobs in these rankings, in addition to the industry’s presence in the top slots on the overall list. But while the “machine learning engineer” role went from the Top 20 last year (#17) to the top five this year (#4), the data scientist role slid from second to eighth place, according to the site.
