Amazon

What’s the deal: Amazon Prime Day
When: June 21-22
Pay attention to: Electronics, home office needs

Let’s start with the behemoth first.

What was once merely a one-day shopping experience nearly a decade ago has become a multi-day shopping extravaganza that matches the hype of Black Friday. Amazon Prime Day, which runs from June 21 to 22, allows Prime members the opportunity to cash in on huge price cuts on Amazon products, in addition to deals from Apple, Samsung, and many more.

In order to be able to shop the Prime discounts, you’ll need to sign up for a Prime membership. For $13 a month or $119 a year, Prime members get access to the lowest prices, while being able to reap the rewards of Prime Video and other perks provided by Amazon.

Walmart

What’s the deal: Walmart’s Deals for Days
When: June 20-23
Pay attention to: Electronics, clothes, home goods

In an effort to compete with Prime Day, Walmart has only one summer super-sale: Deals for Days.

Running from June 20 to 23, the big box retailer’s deals runs a day longer than Prime Day, where you can find “Black Friday-like savings” on electronics, fashion, beauty, toys, and home goods.

Unlike Amazon, you don’t need a membership to get great savings. Walmart said you can even pick up your purchase at one of its stores if you need it now. The company does have its own membership program called Walmart Plus, which you can try with a free 15-day trial. The membership includes free same-day delivery, two-day shopping, and next-day shipping.

Best Buy

What’s the deal: Best Buy’s summer
When: TBA
Pay attention to: Computers, headphones, home-office essentials

For those looking to beef up their work-from-home setup, Best Buy’s Prime Day deals could be just what you needed. Critics like Tech Radar said Best Buy’s sale last year stood out for its eye-opening price drops. Experts expect the company to continue its price-matching and price-cutting in 2021.

While deals for the sale have not been announced (no date yet either), it’s expected that Best Buy’s sale will run the same time as Prime Day. And for those that might have shifted fully remote this year, it could be the perfect time to use your company’s stipend to make sure you have all the tech gadgets you need at home.

Target

What’s the deal: Target’s “Deal Days”
When: June 20-22
Pay attention to: Headphones, computer keyboard, home office furniture

Like Walmart, Target announced it will hold a big sale to compete with Amazon Prime Day.

Target’s “Deal Days” sale runs from June 20 to 22. While it’s a day shorter than Walmart’s sale extravaganza, Target’s deal runs only online, according to the company. It says customers should expect deals from electronics and home to essentials and grocery.

No membership is required. Target said it will allow customers to pick up items in-store.
