Job Description

The Workday Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Workday platform to support business processes and enhance organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in Workday, experience with various Workday integration techniques, and a proven track record of successful implementations.

This position may work remotely on a regular basis but must be located in a state where we have an established US office. All personnel, absent those with an approved accommodation, are expected to be in the office under certain circumstances, including but not limited to client business needs; firm business travel; participating in firm, group, or team meetings/events; at the request of their supervisor; when needed to serve a client or accomplish a task for the firm that requires in-office attendance, etc. Eligibility for remote work requires you to be in good standing with the firm and may be modified or revoked at the discretion of the firm.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and Infosec teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop, test, and implement Workday solutions-including reports, business processes, integrations, and customizations-to meet business needs.
  • Maintain and optimize existing Workday configurations and integrations, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and new feature deployments, providing documentation and training as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues, working with vendor support when necessary.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy Workday Integration systems using tools such as Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect.
  • Monitor and manage integration processes, schedules, and error handling to ensure smooth and reliable data flow between systems.
  • Document integration requirements, technical specifications, and architecture, and provide support for integration-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with QA and Functional teams to develop and execute test plans, identifying and addressing issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday Integration tools such as Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect is highly preferred.
  • Workday certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of integration concepts, web services (REST/SOAP), XML, XSLT, and data transformation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Workday architecture, integration technologies, and security considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing Workday implementations, including full lifecycle projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent reporting, project planning and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
  • Familiar with risk management techniques; risk identification, analysis, estimation and mitigation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility in schedule to work or take calls and meetings outside of regular business hours.
