Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics GP Consultant with strong expertise in upgrading legacy GP environments to the latest versions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end upgrade initiatives, encompassing infrastructure, database, and application layers, along with custom code remediation and validation.
Project Context:The current environment includes Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2008 R2, and Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013. The target environment is Windows Server 2022, SQL Server 2022, and Microsoft Dynamics GP v18.8.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute end-to-end upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics GP from legacy to the latest version.
- Perform environment assessment, upgrade path planning, and risk analysis.
- Upgrade Windows Server (2008 162 2022), SQL Server (2008 R2 162 2022), and Dynamics GP (2013 162 v18.8).
- Analyze, remediate, and validate custom code, integrations, and third-party add-ons.
- Ensure data integrity, migration, and reconciliation during the upgrade process.
- Develop cutover strategy, rollback plans, and validation procedures.
- Support testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues.
Required Skills:- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (2013 to 18.x versions).
- Proven experience in upgrading GP from legacy versions to the latest releases.
- Expertise in SQL Server upgrade/migration (2008 R2 162 2022).
- Expertise in Windows Server upgrade/migration.
