Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level. Computing Systems Professional 1 $72,800 - $115,400 As a CSP1, the successful candidate will support customers and their systems across both unclassified and classified networks by assisting with Windows system administration, participating in routine operational tasks, troubleshooting issues, monitoring systems, and supporting specialized peripherals such as x ray devices. The role includes maintaining professional communication while working directly with customers and stakeholders, as well as helping integrate unconventional devices under tight timelines. A CSP1 should bring a basic understanding of Windows Server or Windows operating system concepts, the ability to follow documented processes while receiving guidance from senior staff, professionalism in both written and verbal communication, and a willingness to learn vulnerability remediation and enterprise security practices.

They will work directly with customers, technical teams, and stakeholders while maintaining clear, professional communication, and they will be responsible for integrating non standard devices and ensuring reliable operation under tight operational deadlines. A CSP2 should have hands on experience with Windows Server, a working knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper V, demonstrated experience managing equipment in alignment with cybersecurity best practices, the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and technical teams, and strong troubleshooting skills with the capability to resolve common server issues.

Work Location : The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance, and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
