What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking a Cleared Space Technical Systems Analyst to support modeling programs for the US Space Force. The US Space Force Modeling & Analysis portfolio is a $25-35M per year effort assisting USSF customers with analysis for space acquisition decisions, for tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) development, and for training.

Particularly, on any given day, you may be called on to:
  • Integrate analysis products coming from program engineering modeling teams across a diverse set of specialties to provide decision support to US Space Force customers
  • Brief/update the project lead and/or customers on program status and status of multiple engineering modeling projects
  • Track status of modeling efforts and identify execution shortfalls or issues to the project lead
  • Help plan future engineering modeling efforts for appropriate scheduling and work scope
  • Attend meetings for the Project Lead to take notes and relay direction to the engineering modeling teams


Salary Range

$87,400 - $168,800

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor's in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years experience supporting USAF or USSF SAP programs
  • Experience supporting DoD/DOW modeling programs
  • Current Q and TS/SCI clearance


Qualifications We Desire

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to do cost/schedule planning for modeling projects
  • Familiarity with USAF SAP computing and communication methods (SIC, CORE, Misty Sierra, AF7, CV2, etc.)


About Our Team

We provide architectures and enabling technologies for pathfinding space-based solutions to national security problems. 6353's focus is on expansion and evolution of mission capabilities for the Space Mission Engineering Program and the Science and Technology Advancing Resilience for Contested Space (STARCS) internal research and development campaign. Responsibilities of 6353 are to foster research and develop solutions in the areas of Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Control (SC) and nurture strategic partnerships with various government agencies, universities, and industry partners operating and supporting space missions.

About Sandia National Laboratories

The Sandia National Laboratories is one of three National Nuclear Security Administration research and development laboratories in the United States, managed and operated privately by the National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia.
