  • Proficient in building and maintaining production-ready React applications.
  • Proven ability to refactor legacy codebases and components into modern architecture.
  • Python — basic proficiency, enough to integrate with backend/data scripts written by the AI engineering team
  • CSS — modern CSS3, responsive layout (Flexbox/Grid), cross-browser styling
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • TypeScript
  • Familiar with managing modern environment configurations using Makefile, Dockerfile, Node.js, npm, Webpack, and Vite.
  • Section 508 awareness — practical understanding of federal accessibility requirements and how to build to them
  • Background as a Web Developer or UI/UX Developer, with a portfolio of shipped, production interfaces
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience configuring and writing unit and integration tests using Playwright, Puppeteer, and/or Jest.
  • UX/UI design tool fluency (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) and comfort translating design mockups into code
  • REST API integration — consuming APIs built by backend/data engineering teams
  • Front-end testing (Playwright, React Testing Library)
  • Git / version control and comfort working in a CI/CD pipeline
  • Exposure to AWS-hosted front-end deployments (S3/CloudFront, Amplify, or similar)
Additional Valued Experience:
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams with non-technical stakeholders
  • State management patterns (Redux, Context API, or similar)
  • Familiarity with design/requirements tools such as Jira, SharePoint, or GitHub Issues
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) or similar federal/enterprise design systems
  • Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, or similar) — useful for dashboards surfacing financial/regulatory data
  • Prior work on a government or public-sector digital service (federal, state, or local)
Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
