Are you an insurance consultant with a real passion for understanding and analysing client's needs, challenges, and delivering results by turning complex business challenges into clear, practical solutions? Are you a Property & Casualty (P&C) strategy/management consultant who leads project teams, manages consultants, and supports sales and client management? We are currently expanding our team at Swiss Re Solutions Risk Consulting & Analytics within the Swiss Re Group, and we are searching for a dedicated professional to deliver consulting services to our insurance clients, addressing strategic and operational challenges across the insurance value chain. About the role

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for evolving and delivering on our client consulting offering. This role is a key leadership position within the Americas consulting team with ownership of client delivery, project and people management (direct and indirect), and the continued development and growth of our consulting value proposition.

This is a highly client-facing role where the ability to communicate clearly, build credibility, and make complex topics understandable is critical to success. Our clients include some of the largest global insurance carriers as well as regional insurers, MGAs, and public sector organizations in the Americas. Being client-centric and commercially minded, you drive forward the commercial success of Risk Consulting & Analytics within Swiss Re's Reinsurance Solutions division.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Lead strategy and management consulting engagements for P&C insurance clients
  • Building and lead multi-disciplined, cross-functional project teams including consultants, insurance subject-matter experts, data scientists and analytics professionals to drive effective delivery
  • Overseeing discovery, scoping, project management, analysis, and synthesizing results, as well as communication of results and recommendations to clients
  • Acting as domain expert and primary contact for Property and Casualty consulting,
  • Define and evolve the overall P&C consulting proposition, developing new value propositions aligned with client needs and market opportunities
  • Partner closely with Sales on client research and discovery, opportunity development, origination and the sale of new consulting engagements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Swiss Re to develop new capabilities, analytical approaches and data assets, ensuring they can be effectively positioned and communicated to clients.

About you:

A seasoned strategy consultant, you have a strong commercial mindset, structured problem-solving skills and the ability to connect client needs with practical solutions. Your exceptional communication and presentation skills enable you to make complex topics clear, relevant and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

You are intellectually curious and analytical, with a desire to operate in a dynamic, high-impact, client-facing environment and can build credibility with senior executives, technical specialists and cross-functional teams alike.

Essentials include:
  • 10-15 years consulting background and experience, with a strong strategy/management consulting background and demonstrated experience leading client engagements
  • Experience in directly leading complex consulting engagements, directly manage consultants and lead cross-functional or multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Excellent knowledge of the primary insurance market for Property and Casualty lines of business; relevant backgrounds may include primary insurers, MGAs, brokers, insurance-focused consulting firms, analytics companies, or major strategy consulting / professional services / accounting firms
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, data and analysis into compelling, impactful and practical business insights, providing executive-level narratives and recommendations clients can readily understand and act upon
  • Confidence and experience interacting with senior management and diverse internal and external client stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally


Nice to have:
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative sales or supporting consultative selling and business development
  • Hands-on experience within primary P&C insurance, including underwriting, product, pricing/actuarial, claims, distribution or related functions
  • Expertise in statistical tools, programming languages, and visualization tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL, MS PowerBI)
  • Proficiency in Spanish/Portuguese a plus

Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred. This position is not eligible for full-time telework and is not able to offer visa sponsorship.

The estimated base salary range for this position in Alpharetta, GA, Kansas City, MO and Chicago, IL is $150,000 to $250,000 and in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY is $161,000 to $269,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
