Full Job Description
$190,000 - $240,000 / year

Vertafore's MGA and Wholesale business is the fastest-growing part of our portfolio. We are looking for a hands-on product leader with strong insurance, MGA, or enterprise software experience to lead product management across our MGA solutions and drive the rollout of AI agents across our teams. This is a broad, build-it role that shapes the products and the way we work in one of Vertafore's highest-growth markets.

As Vice President, you will own product strategy and execution across the MGA portfolio, including AIM, Surefyre, MGA Systems, and NetRate, while championing the adoption of AI agents across product, services, support, and development. You will operate both strategically and tactically, defining the problems your products solve, maintaining a well-prepared roadmap and backlog, and partnering with engineering to deliver. The role also reaches beyond traditional product management to include training, sales enablement, and ownership of the headcount that supports business operations for the unit. Your objectives are tied directly to business metrics such as retention, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

You will work across product, professional services, support, development, sales, and marketing to keep the MGA business aligned and moving. You will serve as a connective leader internally, bringing structure and shared standards to a growing organization, and you will represent the MGA portfolio externally with customers and partners when it counts.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

Product Management
• Own product strategy and the roadmap across the MGA portfolio, including AIM, Surefyre, MGA Systems, and NetRate.
• Bring AI agents and AI-driven capabilities into the MGA product roadmap, in partnership with the teams building Vertafore's agent platform.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from strategy through execution, bringing customer-driven, revenue-generating capabilities to market.
• Identify market and customer opportunities through ongoing research, customer visits, and direct feedback from the field.
• Maintain a well-prepared, prioritized backlog and align development teams against the roadmap.
• Inform product and prioritization decisions with both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and go-to-market teams to launch and position MGA solutions, including input on pricing and competitive positioning.

Training, Enablement, and Documentation
• Drive the adoption of AI agents across MGA teams, using automation to remove manual work and scale capacity across product, services, and support.
• Own training and enablement for internal teams and customers, including hands-on support for adopting AI agents into everyday workflows.
• Build the sales enablement function for the MGA portfolio, arming sales with the positioning, materials, and product knowledge to win.
• Build and maintain product and process documentation as a reliable source of truth across the unit.
• Identify and lead process improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, and quality across MGA teams and workflows.

Business Operations
• Own and lead the headcount that supports business operations for the MGA unit day to day.
• Establish operating cadences, reporting, and metrics that keep leadership informed and teams aligned across professional services, support, development, and product.
• Other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and execute a successful product roadmap with a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Prior experience in the insurance industry is strongly preferred, with an MGA, wholesale, or E&S background a significant plus
• 10+ years of leadership experience, including building and managing teams and influencing decisions in a matrix environment up to senior levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into the details
• Successful history of delivering customer-driven products designed to create a great customer experience
• Experience beyond core product management, such as building training, sales enablement, documentation, or business operations support in a fast-growing environment
• Hands-on interest in AI and automation, with a track record of putting emerging technology to work in real products or operations
• Experience with Scaled Agile software development preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MBA and/or Pragmatic Marketing training a strong plus

Additional Requirements and Details:
• Travel required up to 25% of the time.

• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
