VP Product Management
POSITION OVERVIEWAs Vice President of Product Management for SIGMA, you will serve as the de facto general manager of this business unit - owning full P&L accountability, defining the multi-year product roadmap, and driving end-to-end Go-To-Market execution across existing and emerging verticals.
This is a rare opportunity for a deeply technical, commercially minded leader to shape the future of a mission-critical platform deployed at the network edge. You will combine strong product instincts with edge compute expertise to evolve SIGMA from a managed connectivity layer into an intelligent, programmable edge ecosystem - unlocking new revenue streams for Speedcast across enterprise, energy, maritime, rail, and emerging markets including India and the Middle East.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES P&L Ownership & Business Leadership - Own the full P&L for the SIGMA platform, including revenue targets, margin performance, investment prioritization, and budget management
- Serve as the internal executive champion for SIGMA, establishing accountability frameworks and operating rhythms across product, engineering, sales, and delivery
- Define and track KPIs that measure platform adoption, customer retention, revenue growth, and margin improvement
Product Strategy & Roadmap - Lead the development of a multi-year SIGMA product roadmap grounded in market requirements, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and Speedcast's strategic objectives
- Drive the integration of edge compute capabilities into SIGMA's architecture, enabling compute-at-the-edge use cases such as local data processing, AI inferencing, IoT aggregation, and application hosting in bandwidth-constrained or remote environments
- Define and own the SIGMA portal strategy, ensuring a best-in-class operator and end-user experience for provisioning, monitoring, and managing edge services
- Partner with the CTO and engineering leadership to translate product vision into delivery roadmaps, managing trade-offs between speed, scope, and technical debt
Go-To-Market Execution - Architect and lead Go-To-Market strategies for each SIGMA vertical, from value proposition definition through sales enablement, pricing, and launch execution
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Sales, Business Development, and vertical leads to drive pipeline generation and close high-value enterprise deals
- Develop compelling commercial narratives and competitive differentiation frameworks that equip sales teams to win against both legacy connectivity providers and pure-play edge compute vendors
- Represent SIGMA at executive briefings, industry events, and strategic customer engagements
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development - Identify, structure, and manage strategic partnerships with resellers, co-sell partners, white-label operators, and technology integrators across Speedcast's portfolio (LEO/Starlink, GEO, LTE, SIGMA, and applications)
- Lead commercial negotiations and partnership agreement structuring in close collaboration with legal, finance, and product teams
- Manage and grow Speedcast's strategic relationships with key ecosystem partners including Sify and HCL Tech, and identify new partnerships to accelerate SIGMA adoption
- Build an ecosystem strategy that extends SIGMA's addressable market through third-party application integrations, ISV relationships, and platform APIs
Cross-Functional Leadership - Operate as a senior cross-functional leader, aligning product, sales, engineering, innovation, and finance around a coherent SIGMA growth strategy
- Present strategy, roadmap, pipeline performance, and investment cases to the CPO and Board-level audiences, with clarity and commercial rigor
- Mentor and develop product managers within the SIGMA organization, building a high-performance team culture
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Required - 15+ years of experience in technology product management, product strategy, or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of focused experience in edge compute, distributed systems, or network-edge platforms
- Demonstrated success owning P&L accountability for a software platform or technology product line, including revenue growth, margin management, and investment decision-making
- Deep technical fluency in edge compute architectures - including containerized workloads, edge orchestration, IoT data pipelines, and low-latency application delivery - with the ability to engage credibly with engineering leadership and customer CTOs
- Proven track record designing and executing Go-To-Market strategies across enterprise, industrial, or connectivity verticals, from strategy through sales enablement and commercial launch
