VP of Corporate Development

Report to: CEO/Founder

Location: Downtown Calgary, In-office

Job Summary

Peloton is seeking a highly experienced VP of Corporate Development to lead the full lifecycle of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. This role will be responsible for sourcing opportunities, executing transactions, and driving post-merger integration in alignment with Peloton's long-term growth strategy.

You will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, playing a critical role in shaping Peloton's inorganic growth agenda.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategy & Deal Sourcing
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate strategy
  • Build and maintain a global pipeline of targets across the energy technology ecosystem
  • Conduct market mapping, competitive analysis, and industry research


Deal Execution (End-to-End)
  • Lead the full M&A lifecycle including:
    • Target screening and valuation
    • Financial modeling and business case development
    • Due diligence (financial, commercial, technical, legal)
    • Negotiation and deal structuring
  • Partner with legal, finance, product, and external advisors to execute transactions
  • Prepare materials for CEO/founder decision-making


Integration & Value Creation
  • Lead post-merger integration planning and execution
  • Define synergy targets and track value realization
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure seamless integration of teams, products, and operations


Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Investment Banking, or Private Equity
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring expertise
  • Experience in software, SaaS, or energy/industrial technology sectors preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a global environment
