Position SummaryThe Senior Associate, Corporate Development will play a critical role in supporting Amerit's acquisition strategy and growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the VP of Corporate Development and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, M&A targets / sellers and key business stakeholders, this highly visible position will help drive all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including target identification, pipeline development, financial analysis, due diligence, transaction execution, integration support, and post-close performance tracking.
Compensation: $150k-$175k base salary plus bonus depending on experience
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid preferred)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

M&A Execution & Transaction Support
- Lead workstreams across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including target screening, valuation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-close analysis.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate acquisition opportunities, returns, and strategic alternatives.
- Analyze acquisition targets, market dynamics, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
- Lead preparation of investment memorandums, acquisition recommendations, and executive presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts across internal stakeholders, sellers and external advisors.
- Support negotiations and have ample exposure to interacting with M&A targets, and support building relationships with sellers.
Pipeline Development & Market Research
- Maintain and continuously refine Amerit's acquisition pipeline and target database.
- Conduct market mapping and industry research to identify attractive acquisition opportunities.
- Develop investment theses and strategic growth recommendations.
- Assist in outreach efforts and relationship management with acquisition targets, intermediaries, and advisors.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify emerging opportunities.
Executive & Board Support
- Prepare presentations and supporting analyses for executive leadership, Board meetings, and investment committee reviews.
- Assist with strategic planning initiatives and special projects.
- Develop concise, data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in:
- Investment Banking

- Big Four Deal Advisory
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end process underlining a transaction.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and build trust across sellers and executive and operational teams.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Experience in leading multiple workstreams across small and medium sized transactions
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, private equity-backed environment.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
