Full Job Description
About the role

Marketing is in the middle of the biggest shift in a generation. AI is changing how buyers research, what wins attention, and how marketing teams operate. The teams that come out ahead pair excellent taste with the speed and leverage of AI agents. Rise is going all-in on this shift, and we're hiring a VP of Marketing to lead it.

Reporting directly to the Co-CEO, you'll run marketing for Rise across strategy, product marketing, demand generation, content, and sales enablement.

This isn't a "build-a-30-person-team" version of the role. You'll lead a small, experienced team of excellent marketers, backed by a deep AI agent stack.

You're a hands-on, high-agency, action-oriented operator. By the time others build a proposal deck, you've already implemented the idea and are measuring the results.

You have great taste and a high bar for marketing excellence. You know that AI accelerates the function, but doesn't replace the human touch that makes great marketing magical.

The day-to-day
  • Own marketing's contribution to revenue and pipeline.
  • Set the strategy across Rise's marketing: digital inbound, website, content, media, events, and partnerships.
  • Lead a small team of talented marketers and manage external vendors and consultants as required.
  • Build and run an AI agent stack for yourself and your team: tools, skills, integrations.
  • Obsess over learning: always up-to-date on marketing trends, channels, tools, and opportunities.
  • Set the quality bar. Edit and shape the moments that matter most: product launches, brand work, executive thought leadership, and original research.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success on offers, content, and assets that move the pipeline.

About you
  • 7+ years of marketing experience at B2B SaaS companies, including senior-level ownership of strategy and execution, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of real impact - revenue, pipeline.
  • Excellent taste. You can tell the difference between a marketing hit and a flop, and you know how to bring a team along to ship the former.
  • Self-sufficient with AI. You've built and shipped agents that move marketing work: for research, content, distribution, or analytics. You can show real examples.
  • Great product marketing instincts: you turn customer insight and product capability into positioning and assets that sell.
  • Demand gen fluency: numbers-savvy, comfortable with managing a portfolio of channel investments and interpreting results.
  • You've led small, high-output teams. Your instinct is to lean on agents and partners before adding headcount.
  • Excellent writer, storyteller, and presenter.
  • Bonus: Experience in HR tech, payroll, fintech, or a related B2B SaaS category.

What Rise offers
  • Rise is all about creating a positive company culture, both for our clients and our employees. We believe that happiness isn't the cause of employee engagement; it's the result.
  • The base salary for this position is $130,000-180,000, depending on experience, plus a bonus and stock options.
  • We offer a remote work environment. On occasion, we may meet in person as a team or one-on-one.
  • Rise believes that time off is just as important as time spent. We offer 3 weeks of paid vacation, flexible personal wellness days, as well as one day off for your birthday and your work anniversary.
  • We support your growth with a personal $1,000 learning and development budget to take courses, attend conferences, webinars, you name it!
  • We offer no-wait benefits. This means that starting your first day, you have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which includes dental, eye care, and $2,000 in counselling coverage, among many other great health benefits.
