Target Range:$175,000.00/Yr. - $225,000.00/Yr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
This is a commission eligible role.
About This JobThe VP, Managing Director, Indirect Originations will be responsible for buying all small (app only) and large ticket (full financial package) originations generated by third parties (i.e. banks, non-banks, captives, etc.).
Responsibilities:- Direct Deal Buys from select other banks with whom Verdant has or will establish a funding relationship; target transactions for purchase that meet Verdant risk adjusted return requirements and pre-determined credit parameters
- Assist Verdant outside sales representatives to buy repetitive or opportunistic portfolios of acceptable transactions from vendor captives or from other independent finance companies that are closely aligned with Verdant vertical markets and/or with select vendors with whom Verdant desires to do business
- For sourced deals, support team on all aspects including (but not limited to) onboarding new funding partners, credit write ups on deals, documentation with Operations, funding items with Finance/Accounting, etc.
- Represent Indirect Sales in Chief Commercial Officer's weekly MM meetings
- Manage some existing funder partnerships, including oversight of Servicer Reporting Function, and engage and formalize new funding partner relationships with support of Chief Commercial Officer
- Through buying of both small ticket and large ticket originations, achieve Verdant's annual indirect sales target
- Management on macro issue topics and opportunities that the company must consider
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in formal bank credit training program
- Analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong credit background in equipment finance
- At least 5 years combined of credit, sales, and/or capital markets in equipment finance
- Leadership and supervision of Capital Markets functions including identification and set up of funding partner relationships, portfolio or individual app only buy processes, ability to present an underwriting of a large ticket transaction, understanding of pricing, and discounting including effect of residual dynamics
