First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a VP & Design & Development Manager to join our Design & Development Department. The Design & Development Manager is responsible for leading the department to facilitate the on-going development and enhancement of the commercial banking with an emphasis on lending processes and manage the overall operations of the department. The Design & Development Department is responsible for driving complex operational and strategic initiatives for the Commercial and Wholesale Banking lending functions.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Work hours may vary)

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000/yr; commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, strategy or a related field, or equivalent experience in commercial lending required
  • MBA or master's degree in finance and/or strategy preferred
  • 5 years of experience in banking, finance, or lending business process experience in private or public environment required
  • Experience leading the business transformation of an enterprise working across divisions, business groups, shared services, and corporate staffing organizations preferred
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams to identify organizational and workflow challenges; and lead change and improvement outcomes aligned with the vision, strategy, and priorities preferred
  • Knowledgeable about bank systems and technology platforms preferred
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of commercial lending industry best practices and overall environment. This also includes various lending regulations, necessary conditions for approval, system requirements, and specific guidelines
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of various compliance and regulatory requirements (Fair Lending, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements with management, users and consultants
  • Proven leadership and collaborative skills
