What You Will Do
- Perform Hand Calculations to determine scope of higher detail analysis models.
- Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve various program thermal challenges.
- Generate test plans required to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to customer requirements.
- Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
- Work with experienced analysts on problems of moderate complexity to provide the answers needed under program cost and schedule constraints.
- Review your work with peers to ensure technical accuracy.
- Present results to internal, external, and government customers.
- Generate detailed documentation of work and archive for reference.
- Act as a technical leader, you will lead the analysis/test team, mentor thermal engineers and interface with program leadership on a regular basis.
- Develop an analysis plan that aligns with the program milestones and supports technical excellence.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years9 experience.
- Experience in analysis using Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus.
- Experience in mechanical principles to solve classical thermal dynamic analysis solutions both inside and outside of finite element tools and an ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated experience in circuit card electronics analyses.
- Demonstrated experience leading a small team of engineers.
- Demonstrated experience managing scope, budget, and deliverables for team9s tasking.
- Experience with solid modeling CAD tools such as CREO or equivalent.
- Experience presenting to external customers.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Project.
- An advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities within job area.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate9s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
