Full Job Description
The VP, Community Banking Product Strategy & Operations owns the end-to-end performance, compliance, and development across a range of banking and payment products. This role balances operational excellence, market and customer intelligence, and disciplined product development execution to deliver sustainable financial results in a highly regulated environment.

Success in this role is defined not only by roadmap delivery, but by maintaining healthy, well-governed products while continuously adapting the portfolio to changing customer needs, market dynamics, and regulatory expectations.

Core Accountability Areas

1. Product Maintenance & Portfolio Stewardship

Ensure products are safe, compliant, efficient, and scalable over time.

Responsibilities
• Own the ongoing health and performance of assigned products, including operational stability, controls, customer experience, and cost-to-serve
• Serve as accountable product owner for risk, compliance, and control alignment, partnering with Risk and Compliance to address gaps, findings, and regulatory change
• Ensure product documentation, pricing, eligibility, limits, and features remain accurate and effectively governed
• Lead decisions on product optimization, simplification, decommissioning, or consolidation where appropriate
• Proactively identify operational friction and drive prioritization of remediation alongside enhancement work

Measured by
• Product health KPIs, audit outcomes, issue recurrence, and operational efficiency metrics

2. Market Intelligence & Customer Insight

Keep the product portfolio externally relevant and commercially competitive.

Responsibilities
• Maintain deep awareness of market trends, competitor offerings, pricing models, and emerging customer expectations
• Monitor regulatory, industry, and technology developments and assess implications for product strategy and investment priorities
• Champion structured customer insights through partnership with Distribution, Sales, and Relationship teams
• Translate market signals into clear, actionable implications for roadmap, pricing, risk posture, and positioning
• Serve as a trusted internal expert on the product domain for executive leadership and frontline teams

• Adoption trends, competitive positioning outcomes, and relevance of roadmap priorities to market demand

3. Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution

Turn strategy into delivered value with speed, discipline, and accountability.

Responsibilities
• Translate product strategy into clear execution plans, milestones, and ownership across teams
• Own multi-quarter product roadmaps that balance growth initiatives, regulatory commitments, and operational resilience
• Drive disciplined execution using established delivery and governance frameworks
• Partner with Technology and external vendors to define requirements, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery quality
• Lead products from ideation through launch and post-launch performance management, ensuring expected outcomes are realized
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to track delivery progress, financial performance, and customer adoption

Measured by
• Delivery predictability, time-to-value, adoption outcomes, and financial performance

Commercial & Financial Accountability
• Own P&L performance for assigned products, including pricing, margin, and portfolio optimization
• Partner with Finance to forecast revenue, manage cost structures, and assess investment returns
• Drive deposit growth, retention, and customer lifetime value through disciplined product decisions

Cross-Functional Leadership Expectations
• Operate as a single-point owner across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, and Distribution
• Influence outcomes in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority
• Surface trade-offs clearly and early, providing leadership with options and implications
• Ensure execution velocity remains aligned with risk and operational readiness

Experience & Skills
• 8+ years in banking/and or payments product management leadership
• Proven ownership of products across run, enhance, and transform phases
• Strong understanding of banking products, market dynamics, and regulatory environments
• Demonstrated success leading teams and driving outcomes through cross-functional partnership

• Experience managing regulated products with material operational and compliance dependencies
