Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide design, installation, operations, maintenance, and sustaining engineering support for enterprise telephone systems across multiple customer sites.
  • Operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot analog, digital, and Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone switching systems.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on telephone instruments, cabling, network drops, gateways, and associated telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Design, procure, install, and integrate new telecommunications cabling, hardware, software, and equipment to extend or enhance existing services.
  • Support Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC), including telephone installations, relocations, and connectivity for on-site and remote users.
  • Configure, maintain, and support VoIP phones, softphones, Wi-Fi phones, call processors, gateways, and E911 systems.
  • Administer VoIP system interfaces, routing, translations, and programming to ensure reliable voice communications.
  • Maintain E911 infrastructure, including ANI/ALI databases, routing, interfaces, and emergency call translation services.
  • Configure and maintain telephone firewall security, review logs, and implement rule-based security policies as directed.
  • Monitor telecommunications trunk utilization and recommend capacity upgrades to prevent service degradation.
  • Generate and provide call detail records and reports in support of operational, executive, and security requirements.
  • Administer enterprise voicemail services, recorded announcements, messaging features, and user account management.
  • Maintain enterprise telephony features including call forwarding, conferencing, hunt groups, caller ID, speed dialing, call park, call pickup, voicemail, and related services.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, operating procedures, and end-user guides for telecommunications services.
  • Protect the privacy and security of telephone system users and communications.
  • Support on-call operations, scheduled maintenance windows, and after-hours customer requirements, including major operational events.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives and technical teams to ensure telecommunications services meet operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication with technical teams, customers, and Government leadership.
  • Support telecommunications operations within a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Government security policies, applicable regulations, and established operational procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) infrastructures.
  • Experience operating and maintaining enterprise telecommunications systems in a production environment.
  • Experience supporting Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) activities for enterprise voice services.
  • Experience administering VoIP call processing platforms, gateways, and E911 systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting analog, digital, and IP-based voice technologies.
  • Experience working independently in a remote support environment while managing multiple priorities.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
