Full Job Description
ERI (Energy, Resources, & Infrastructure) is responsible for originating and structuring a wide range of project and infrastructure financings across the energy and infrastructure sector. Its main sectors include power & renewables (renewable and thermal generation, batteries, transmission, district energy), digital infrastructure (data centers, fiber, AI chips, and wireless infrastructure), core infrastructure (ports, airports, toll roads), and low carbon energy solutions (clean hydrogen, carbon capture, EV value chain, etc.). ERI has been a longstanding market leader in the Americas and globally, regularly ranking in the top 10 or top 5 across relevant industry league tables. The team has a track record of playing a lead role in landmark deals such as Brookfield's Foundry loan and 4(a)2/144A bond transactions, Pattern's SunZia (largest ever renewable financing in the US), Vantage's Project Jacquard (largest ever infrastructure and data center construction financing), or Blue Owl/STACK's Project Miner. ERI focuses on various types of transactions, including greenfield or brownfield construction financing, acquisition financing, debt advisory, portfolio financing, or HoldCo financing, across a variety of markets and structures such TLA, USPP, TLB, private credit, and 144A. We are seeking to act in a lead capacity in the deals that we originate. ERI's clients include large infrastructure funds, global alternative asset managers, energy-focused private equity firms, top tier power and data center developers, utilities, and international corporations active in the energy and infrastructure sectors. ERI also collaborates with various teams across BNP Paribas' banking and global markets platforms to originate transactions and generate cross-sell opportunitiesacross derivatives, M&A, leveraged finance, capital markets, asset finance, cash management, or export finance. Given its sector focus, ERI is at the forefront of the AI Infrastructure boom and is seeking to hire a highly motivated and talented Vice President to strengthen its origination and execution capacity in a context of sustained growth market environment. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end deal execution and assist in the origination of new mandates - Develop and implement structuring advice for clients during origination and execution phases - Lead internal credit processes, coordinate development of credit and business memos, analyze and form an opinion on risk factors, liaise and build long term trust with risk officers - Coordinate and oversee due diligence process and liaise with relevant consultants (legal, technical, environmental, insurance, tax, etc. - Negotiate credit documentation with the assistance of counsels and guidance from deal captains, and supervise closing process - Create, coordinate and ensure quality control for deal materials (lender presentations, CIM, rating agency presentation, teaser, etc.), internal memos, and marketing presentations for clients - Mentor, supervise, and develop junior staff - Leverage resources of the bank (across Sector Coverage, Syndicate, DCM, derivatives, M&A, leveraged finance, rating advisory, liquidity management, etc.) to develop the best solutions and structures for clients - Build and develop a network of relationships across industry stakeholders (clients, peers at other banks, investors, consultants, lawyers, rating agencies, etc.) to facilitate origination and execution of new mandates and keep the team abreast of market trends, innovations, etc. Minimum Required Qualifications: - Bachelor degree in related field of study (business or engineering) - Senior Associate level with Project Finance deal execution experience at a major financial institution (bank, boutique, or asset manager), corporation/developer, or rating agency - Knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors - Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written) - Analytical rigor with strong attention to details and relentless focus on delivering high quality work products - Strong credit, structuring, and modelling skills - Ability to collaborate with multiple teams - Enjoy training, developing, and mentoring junior staff - Organizational skills and resilience (including the ability to handle or coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines) - Positive energy / enthusiasm for energy and infrastructure sectors and origination activities - Strong ethics & integrity - Solution-driven, proactive and innovative.
