Full Job Description
Veterinarian (DVM) - Pinole Pet Hospital

Pinole, CA

Pinole Pet Hospital is seeking a skilled, compassionate Veterinarian to join our small but mighty practice. If you're looking for a clinic where you can practice high-quality medicine, build meaningful client relationships, and work with a supportive, collaborative team - look no further!

The Role: Veterinarian

As our Veterinarian, you'll join a talented, tight-knit team and see a diverse caseload spanning dental cleanings and extractions, spays and neuters, CCL knee surgeries, full-body and dental radiographs, and ultrasound diagnostics. This is the kind of practice where curiosity is welcomed and growth is expected. Whether you're a seasoned DVM seeking a team that matches your drive or a newer graduate ready to accelerate your skills, you'll find mentorship that's real and the chance to practice medicine you're proud of every single day.

You Will:

Go beyond routine care. You'll have the tools, training, and autonomy to take on complex surgeries, advanced diagnostics, and dentistry. And you won't be figuring it out alone. This is a team that collaborates, communicates, and genuinely has your back.

About Our Hospital

Team: 1 CD| 1 RVT | 5 VAs | 1 CSR

Equipment:

  • A fully equipped surgical suite
  • Ultrasound and digital X-ray technology
  • Advanced dental equipment with digital radiography

Location Perks:

Enjoy working in a peaceful neighborhood setting, just steps from small businesses and two minutes from the C3 Bus Line. We offer:

  • Nearby street parking
  • Proximity to shops, Pinole Middle School, and Fitzgerald Drive amenities
  • A lower cost of living compared to other Bay Area regions
  • A unique mix of local charm and accessibility
  • Close to our sister site, Hercules Pet Hospital
  • 5 minutes from I-80, with easy access to Vallejo, Richmond, and Berkeley

What You Bring:

You're a veterinarian who takes your craft seriously and wants to keep getting better. You're drawn to surgery, urgent care, or advanced procedures, and you light up when the medicine is varied and challenging. Communication, kindness, and collaboration come naturally to you, and you're looking for a team that feels the same way. If you're ready for a place where your skills are valued, your growth is supported, and your work actually matters, this could be the fit you've been looking for.

New Graduate? No Problem.

We offer a tailored New Associate Program with structured mentorship and clinical development to help you transition confidently into practice. You'll never be on your own - support is always a conversation away.

What You'll Find Here:

  • A Purpose-Driven Culture: We don't just treat pets, we support families. Communication, compassion, and continuity of care are at the heart of what we do.
  • Loyal Client Relationships: Our client base includes a healthy mix of dog and cat owners, many of whom have been with us for years.
  • Team Stability: Most of our support team has been here for over a year, contributing to a warm, collaborative environment where people know and trust each other.
  • Room to Grow: With plans to expand appointment availability, we're growing thoughtfully to meet demand while protecting the quality of care we're known for.

If you're looking for a practice where your voice is heard, your skills are valued, and your work makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you!
