About the JobThe Utilities Engineer will work under the Site Sustainability Lead to assist in developing and executing site utility and sustainability programs aligned with site and global business needs.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Utilities Engineer is responsible for supporting site Central Utilities related infrastructure projects and operations; this includes electrical distribution systems, industrial boilers, chillers, water and wastewater treatment systems. The Utilities Engineer will integrate with site project teams, support site utilities maintenance and operations staff with system troubleshooting, and work closely with the site electrical engineering staff to support electrical infrastructure projects and troubleshooting Central Utility Systems.
- Support operations and maintenance of the site utilities mechanical and electrical infrastructure
- Liaison with the site and global Engineering departments to review all new projects that interface with the site central utilities. This will include such things as design reviews, developing maintenance plans, and supporting project commissioning activities.
- Key stakeholder for the life-cycle management of utility assets. This includes involvement with utilities system modifications and Preventative Maintenance (PM) reviews/modifications to improve operation, uptime and efficiency.
- Review of utility system performance for efficiency, reliability, and environmental compliance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure good documentation practices are followed to track all work and make data analysis efficient.
- Support a strong Maintenance Safety Culture that encourages taking the right amount of time to perform each task safely.
- Work with Site Engineering to develop and manage the Engineering Standards Site Sustainability.
- Develops and executes sustainability programs aligned with Sanofi Planet Care strategies. Works collaboratively within Engineering and across departments to ensure operational efficiency and to identify and implement projects to reduce the environmental footprint of the site.
- Ensures programs are aligned with HSE management systems. Contributes to ISO 50001and site sustainability audits
- Participates in Sustainability COP network

About YouBasic QualificationsEducation & Experience & Certifications- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical fields with 1+ years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, QA, Engineering, utilities engineering or other related fields. (co-op or internship experience will be considered)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical system drawings.
- Understanding mechanical and thermodynamic engineering principles. .
Preferred Experience- Knowledge of construction, predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or operation of utility systems at a large industrial site including boilers, chillers, and other industrial infrastructure.
- Knowledge of power distribution equipment including medium voltage switchgear, transformers, relays, generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS, low voltage switchgear, and industrial building distribution.
- Knowledge of central utilities automation and control strategies.
- Ability to lead small projects as a project manager.
- Stakeholder & people management - Cross-functionally in a matrix organization

The salary range for this position is:
$75.000,00 - $108.333,33
