Job DescriptionThe Lead Facility Engineer serves as the Key On-Site Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technical Lead at CMI's customer facility in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. This position provides direct technical oversight, operational leadership, and quality control across site operations, building automation systems, and general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to maintain compliance with contract requirements and Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards.
Key Job Functions- Oversee the chiller plant, boilers, and kitchen repairs
- Supervise and advise O&M staff
- Verify the completion of all work orders
- Ensure heating and cooling mechanical systems and their equipment and/or components function safely, reliably, efficiently, and economically
- Ensure facility Building Automation System (BAS) are properly maintained and operated within facility operational parameters
- Ensure the Computerized Maintenance Management System is kept current
- Respond to after-hours emergencies from off shift personnel
Qualifications- Minimum 10 years experience with a crew of 10 or more
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to solve operational issues or failures with electrical systems, control systems, fire alarm systems and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of theories, principles, practical concepts, systems, and processes related to fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, industry codes, and techniques.
