The UI/UX Designer shapes how mission analysts and decision-makers experience the team's analytic products. They lead user research, interaction and visual design, and accessibility for dashboards, internal tools, and case-management interfaces. They work alongside data scientists and engineers to ensure analytic outputs are clear, accessible, and Section 508-compliant.
- Lead user research with mission analysts and stakeholders - interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing - to inform design decisions.
- Translate research and requirements into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Develop and document UI standards, design tokens, and component libraries to drive consistency across analytic products
- Proactively address Section 508 compliance (36 CFR 1194.21, 1194.22, 1194.31, 1194.41) - color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, alt text, and accessible data visualization.
- Partner with data scientists to design effective visualizations of complex mission data, including analytic and decision-support dashboards.
- Participate in software project lifecycle activities to ensure operational and performance requirements are met.
- Conduct accessibility testing using federally-approved methods and tools, in alignment with the customer's accessibility office.

OneGlobe is staffing a federal data science services team that supports a high-impact mission program. The team works alongside business analysts, machine learning engineers, application developers, and government leaders to build analytic and AI/ML capabilities on top of an enterprise analytics platform. The work spans predictive and prescriptive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, graph analytics, visualization, and unified case management - at a scale of millions of records per day. Engagements typically run from three-month sprints to multi-year capability builds, on mostly structured data drawn from many disparate sources.
