Your Key Responsibilities When you join our Federal Tax Advisory (FTA) team as a Vector Capitalization Analyst, you'll blend data, technology, and tax expertise to enhance clients' tax fixed asset functions and resolve complex issues. You'll work closely with clients and experts to develop tailored solutions that streamline processes and comply with regulations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and integrate technology-driven solutions to optimize tax engagements and address intricate tax fixed asset challenges.
- Craft custom tools and workflows to align with current tax regulations and client needs.
- Create and implement client-specific applications for comprehensive data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with client tax and IT teams to design and implement bespoke technology solutions, gaining experience with major capitalization/depreciation systems.
Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have: - A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field, supported by a strong academic record
- 3.0 cumulative college/university GPA
- A strong interest in data and technology and their use in business processes.
- Excellent communication and business writing skills.
- An interest working in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office location associated with this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.
Ideally, you will have: - Cumulative college/university GPA of 3.2 or above.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI suite (including Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View and Power Map), SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, MS Access.
- Knowledge and experience in the design and development of databases (specifically SQL Server).
- Experience with developing ETL solutions using SSIS or other tools.
- ERP experience, including SAP and/or Oracle.
- Practical or academic experience with commercial capitalization systems, such as Sage Fixed Assets - Depreciation, BNA Fixed Assets, and PowerPlan.
- Practical or academic experience in standard process analysis tools, process mapping, and flow chart diagramming.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $78,000 - $100,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
