Role OverviewA premier Global Strategic Account is seeking a
Unit Safety Manager to lead a comprehensive
food and physical safety program across a fast-paced, innovation-driven corporate dining and hospitality ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with FDA Food Code, HACCP, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements while advancing a culture of prevention, readiness, and operational excellence.
The Unit Safety Manager plays a critical role in shaping a safe, high-performance environment that supports thousands of daily guests. This leader will champion proactive risk mitigation, strengthen safety behaviors, and ensure that every café, kitchen, production space, and service area operates with uncompromising standards.
The position partners closely with
culinary,
operations and
facilities to embed safety into daily workflows, support new program launches, and maintain alignment across a large, multi-site campus. This role is both strategic and hands-on - balancing data-driven decision-making with on-the-ground coaching, training, and partnership to deliver a world-class employee experience.
What You'll Do- Lead food & physical safety compliance - Ensure adherence to FDA Food Code, HACCP, OSHA standards, and local health regulations across kitchens, cafés, production areas, and service spaces.
- Conduct safety audits - Perform routine inspections of culinary operations, equipment, storage, and physical environments to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
- Manage incidents - Investigate foodborne illness claims, contamination events, injuries, near misses, and operational deviations; develop CAPA plans to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver training - Facilitate engaging training on sanitation, allergen management, HACCP, PPE, ergonomics, and safe work practices for employees and contractors.
- Strengthen operational readiness - Support menu rollouts, equipment onboarding, new processes, and facility changes to ensure safety is integrated into daily operations.
- Analyze safety data - Track KPIs, audit scores, temperature logs, incident trends, and compliance metrics; present insights to leadership to inform decisions.
