We are seeking an experienced
UI Engineer to develop accessible interfaces for dashboards, search, filtering, drill-down, reports, and signal review for a Federal data analytics and AI modernization initiative.
The team will deliver a secure, scalable platform that integrates structured and unstructured data, provides data visualization and traceable AI-assisted analytics, and gives examiners centralized tools for search, review, monitoring, and decision support. The platform will support professional judgment and will not replace authoritative agency financial or grants-management systems or execute financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities- Develop accessible, responsive, production-ready web interfaces for dashboards, search, filtering, drill-down, reporting, and data review.
- Build reusable UI components using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, backend services, and data platforms.
- Develop interactive data visualizations, dashboards, charts, tables, filters, search, and drill-down workflows.
- Implement responsive design, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, focus management, and accessible user interactions.
- Develop and maintain automated UI tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Optimize applications for performance, usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI, API integration, performance, and accessibility issues.
- Develop technical documentation covering UI architecture, reusable components, integrations, testing, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with UX, software engineering, data engineering, data science, and AI/ML teams throughout development and testing.
- Apply security, privacy, accessibility, data governance, and records-management requirements to application development.
Required Qualifications- Hands-on experience developing production front-end and UI applications.
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with reusable component design, state management, API integration, and automated UI testing.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, semantic markup, keyboard navigation, focus management, and responsive design.
- Experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, filtering, drill-down, search, and reporting interfaces.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of web performance, browser compatibility, and responsive application development.
- Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility.
- Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing applications for Federal financial, grants, budget, payment, award oversight, or financial reporting systems.
- Experience delivering applications in secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Experience with Linux-based development or deployment environments.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Java and/or .NET backend applications and APIs.
- Experience with Jenkins, self-hosted Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-powered capabilities into web applications.
- Familiarity with open-source AI models and AI-enabled user interfaces.
- Experience with WCAG and Section 508 compliance in production applications.
