Transportation Planning Senior AnalystLocation: Dallas, TX (location is non-negotiable)The
Transportation/Supply Chain Operations Senior Analyst executes transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes.
Key Responsibilities- Manages tendering and execution of transportation loads
- Monitors status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered etc.)
- Proactively communicate and resolve transportation exceptions
- Provides customer service to clients and vendors during transportation planning and execution
- Reports and analyzes designated key performance indicators which may include but are not limited to financial, satisfaction and operational metrics
- Leverages AI-enabled tools and automation concepts to identify process efficiencies, improve transportation visibility, and support faster decision-making
Basic Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of transportation planning experience
Preferred Qualifications- Transport Management experience to include inbound and outbound logistics, dispatches, Depot Management, and Freight & Fleet Management
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to include Oracle and/or Blue Yonder
- Experience in routing, scheduling & consolidation of loads, backhaul operations
- Understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes, and business policies
- Working knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and agentic AI concepts, with interest in applying them to supply chain operations, reporting, exception management, and process optimization
- Ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Operations Management
