Job Description

I. Job Summary

Delivers, assesses and coaches the designated enterprise logistics curriculum according to the needs of the organization as determined by the leadership and training teams. Completes weekly and final evaluation of logistics new hires and conducts the final coaching session to determine participants passing or failing the course. Conducts week 1 training sessions at the WMTC to allow new hires the opportunity to interact with WM equipment and disbursement of teams required equipment to continue training and working in a remote setting.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports schedule, participant attendance, and evaluations to the Sr. Manager of Business Optimization to maintain accurate training participation records.
  • Delivers curriculum demonstrating adult and accelerated learning techniques.
  • Assesses and coaches individual participant performance following training through observation as appropriate to measure the impact of learning to specific business results
  • Completes weekly and final evaluations plus conducts final coaching session with participants at the completion of course.
  • Determines pass or fail on course for each participant and provides Enterprise Logistics Center Leadership team their final assessment and recommendation for On-the-job training.
  • Provides ongoing training and mentoring to Enterprise Logistics Center staff as new endeavors and initiatives are cascaded through the enterprise.
  • Maintains knowledge of training or company procedures through reading and interpreting general business periodicals and professional journals.
  • Communicates with other trainers and managers about logistics, participant issues, and training needs to perform job.
  • Conducts Leadership training for Logistics Manager curricula.
  • Handles ordering, kitting and disbursement of Logistics Center staff equipment in order to provide a productive and effective remote work environment.
  • Handles collection of Logistics Center staff equipment upon separation from Logistics Center.
  • Manages upgrades and replacement of outdated and non-productive equipment. Ensures that remote equipment is standard across the enterprise.
  • May require travel up to 25% of time
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 5 years of prior logistics and dispatch experience in the trucking industry


B. Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of training experience

PAY: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $106370 - $138160 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
