Job DescriptionStantec is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, Transportation Roadway Engineer (PE). The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects. You will perform a variety of tasks that will require the application of sound principles and best practices.
Your Key Responsibilities - Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projects
- Perform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standards
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects
- Train junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modeling
QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials - Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design software
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PSE plan production
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
- Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others
Education and Experience - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum
- TX PE license
- Minimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experience
- TxDOT Precertification preferred

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
