Full Job Description
What You'll Do
Lead the design and delivery of roadway, pedestrian, and multimodal transportation projects, including roadway geometry, corridor improvements, grading, traffic control, and related infrastructure.
Prepare construction documents, technical reports, engineering studies, cost estimates, and other project deliverables while ensuring quality through established QA/QC processes.
Coordinate transportation improvements with drainage, utilities, street lighting, agencies, clients, and other stakeholders throughout project development and delivery.
Direct and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, overseeing work assignments, reviews, and project execution.
Support project pursuits, client relationship development, bidding, procurement, and construction-phase services, including change order reviews and contractor coordination.
Serve as a trusted technical resource and project leader, helping drive successful outcomes for clients and communities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas, or ability to obtain Texas registration within six months of hire.
4+ years of transportation and civil infrastructure design experience.
Experience with:
Roadway design and plan production
Traffic control plan development
Sidewalk and shared-use path design
Municipal or transportation infrastructure projects
Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
Preferred
Experience with City of Houston, Harris County, and/or TxDOT standards and specifications.
Experience on urban roadway, corridor improvement, or complete streets projects.
Experience designing drainage, water, wastewater, or street lighting improvements associated with transportation projects.
