JOB DESCRIPTION

DocGPT is Ubisoft's internal knowledge assistant platform, unveiled this year at the 2026 Games Developer Conference (GDC) and deployed across several studios and divisions. Behind the scenes, data ingestion, administration, and integration tools ensure the platform's reliability on a daily basis. As the technical lead on these issues, you will define tooling standards and ensure that the growing demand for deployments is handled seamlessly.

What You'll Do
  • Define the architecture of ingestion pipelines and administration tools, balancing robustness, maintainability, and speed of deployment.
  • Ensure the reliability of connectors to internal data sources: design error-handling, recovery, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Lead the development of the platform's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and its evolution based on the needs of the integration teams.
  • Identify bottlenecks in deployment processes and design automations to keep pace.
  • Define observability standards: instrumentation, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level team members on best practices for tooling and software reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • 5+ years of experience developing tools, data pipelines, or internal platforms in production.
  • Proficiency in Python for designing robust backend services: REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask, automation scripts, and connectors.
  • Proven experience designing reliable ingestion pipelines: idempotency, error handling, retries, monitoring.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS services (EKS, S3, Lambda, IAM/IRSA, Secrets Manager), Databricks, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Experience with GitOps tools (Flux or Argo CD) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
  • Proficiency with observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and comfort with ambiguity; strong communication skills with client teams of diverse backgrounds.
