Test Methods Engineer

Your Team:

Our validation center employs innovative and scalable methods and is supported by a team of dedicated professionals. More than 800 physical tests and validations are conducted each year, ensuring that our customers receive reliable, state-of-the-art products.You will work closely with the Performance Group teams as well as the product development teams to develop methodologies that align with our strategic objectives. This position is essential to ensuring the accuracy, repeatability, and validity of our tests.

Your role :

As part of the Methodology Group Manager's team, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving the portfolio of test methods. You will also be responsible for maintaining expertise in performance physics. Your mission will be to analyze, design, and implement innovative test methods that will help improve product reliability and quality, while meeting our customers' requirements and industry standards.

We need you for :

  • Design innovative testing and analysis methods in an exploratory context, requiring the application of new or emerging knowledge;
  • Oversee the implementation of product performance evaluation strategies;
  • Analyze and identify the fundamental physical principles that influence the performance of tested products to define robust validation methods;
  • Manage a portfolio of test methods (maintenance, creation, elimination, adaptation);
  • Participate in identifying ambitious tool- and method-related projects and document the feasibility phases;
  • Anticipate new needs for product performance testing and evaluation methods;
  • Share domain expertise through mentoring and the creation of training modules;
  • Implement test methods in accordance with norms and standards;
  • Oversee the execution of complex tests and perform in-depth data analysis;
  • Review test validation plans for various simulators and vehicles.


What do you need to possess for being successful?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering;
  • You are a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in an engineering role;
  • You are comfortable working in a bilingual environment (French and English) and can communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with your colleagues and our international clients;
  • You have an excellent ability to diagnose complex problems and propose innovative solutions;
  • You are known for your independence and attention to detail, and you have a solid grasp of statistical analysis;
  • You are skilled at analyzing and interpreting simulation results (FEA) and have strong project management and documentation skills;
  • You have experience with data acquisition systems and are able to explain complex concepts in simple terms and adapt to diverse audiences;
  • Knowledge of CAD software (CREO) is a plus.
