Job Summary

The Vertiv Server Liquid Systems team is seeking a Test Engineer to perform verification and validation of our data center liquid cooling infrastructure, controllers and thermal test vehicles. Work will include test planning, creation of test cases, and test execution. A successful candidate will have experience in any of the following areas: UI testing, test automation development, system product test, requirements review, and/or test planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups and product leads to ensure hardware and software solutions meet product requirements.
  • Create product test plans and test-cases from product requirements.
  • Direct and execute test plans with support of engineering technicians.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test hardware, software and product interactions.
  • Develop software to automate test tasks.
  • Develop test network environments for devices under test.
  • Document technical issues and solutions.
  • Suggest fixes and improvements.
  • Report activities, project status, and plans to team lead and management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years' related experience
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking systems
  • Experience with a test case management
  • Experience with developing test automation a plus
  • Experience developing Python a plus.
  • Up to 10% Travel possible
