The National Security Sector at Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our Test and Training Team to support the Integrated Base Defense - Sustainment Support (IBD-SS) contract with operations located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The successful candidate will support our customer's test capabilities and internal testing for Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting, Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System - Combined (BETSS-C), Cerberus Scout, and Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), and other systems as requested by the customer. The successful candidate will contribute to our joint Test and Training Team and will also perform tests associated with curriculum review as well as third tier Help Desk research. Primary Duties: • Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors • Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel • Provides technical support, testing, and advice to other engineering groups • Assist in answering questions from the Customer and FSRs, log calls and solutions in COLTS • Review and update curriculum to support multiple facets of the force protection system training program • May on occasion travel to other CONUS or OCONUS locations to assist in unit training and site survey development for IBD-SS Systems • Other duties as assigned WHAT SETS YOU APART Education Required: AA/AS + 3-5 yrs. experience (6 yrs. exp. in lieu of a degree) Security Clearance: • US Secret security clearance required. YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE: Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-quality environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail • Expertise using Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint and familiarity with Jira.
