Full Job Description
Could you be the full-time onsite Test and Commissioning Engineer in Tampa, FL, US we're looking for? Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the testing and commissioning activities for railway signaling subsystems, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Validation & Verification, and Project Management), develop and execute test procedures, provide technical leadership to resolve complex issues, and much more. You'll specifically take care of organizing and executing Test and Commissioning (T&C) activities, but also ensuring safety and compliance across all testing phases. We'll look to you for: • Organizing T&C activities, including planning, access, resource allocation, and documentation. • Checking compliance of signaling systems against system specification documents and contractual requirements. • Developing T&C procedures for subsystems based on defined specifications to meet contractual requirements. • Leading deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify and resolve root causes of failures and integration issues. • Interfacing with Engineering and V&V subsystem leaders to optimize site tests and resource allocation. • Providing technical leadership to teams for tools, procedures, and problem resolution. • Leading or participating in technical discussions with the customer while representing and protecting the company's interests. • Reporting regularly to the Project T&C Manager on progress, issues, and anomalies arising during site testing. • Ensuring all design-related issues are correctly reported in the appropriate tools, including defect descriptions and test context. • Guaranteeing that all tests are conducted with a strong emphasis on safety.
