O'Melveny is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate for our San Francisco office. The Technology Transactions Group is looking for an associate with 4-6 solid years of experience to work in our cutting-edge technology transactions practice. Candidates will primarily work on structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of commercial, technology and intellectual property agreements, including agreements for licensing and other commercial transactions, and serving as the IP specialist for our M&A, venture capital and other corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a substantial technology transactions background, including solid experience as the IP/Technology Transactions specialist supporting M&A, financing and private equity deals, advising on IP and privacy issues, as well as drafting and reviewing various commercial agreements, including license agreements, development agreements, distributor and reseller agreements, customer and supplier contracts, and OEM and manufacturing agreements, and managing associated transactions. Candidates should be comfortable working with colleagues and teams across multiple offices and capable of handling and running several matters at once. Job Requirements: Strong academic credentials, coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Background or interest in technology, in working with emerging companies, and in software and open source software issues is preferred, as well as large law firm experience. The salary range in San Francisco for this role is $310,000 - $390,000 and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
