As a Senior Manager, Category Management, you will lead the Enterprise Aligned Technology Category Management team within the Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO), overseeing global enterprise sourcing strategies across a broad portfolio that includes Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Services, Enterprise Software, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Networking, Hardware, and Technology Services.

You will partner with senior Technology, Data, Finance, Risk, and business leaders to develop category strategies that optimize technology investments, manage risk, accelerate innovation, and deliver long-term business value. Leveraging your expertise in technology markets, cloud services, software licensing, cybersecurity, and AI ecosystems, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and strategic supplier relationships across Capital Group's technology spend portfolio.

You will also lead and develop a growing team of category management professionals and managers, helping shape the future of the organization while driving sourcing excellence, supplier governance, and category management best practices. As a key leader within the Enterprise Sourcing Office transformation, you will influence executive stakeholders, build organizational capabilities, and help create a more strategic, business-focused sourcing function.

Please note, this role does require you to work in office, Monday - Thursday with the flexibility to work from home on Friday.

• You have 10+ years of experience in technology sourcing, category management, procurement, supplier management, or a related commercial discipline, with 12+ years preferred.
• You have experience managing complex technology categories, including AI, cloud services, enterprise software, cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, hardware, and technology services.
• You have successfully developed and executed sourcing and category strategies that align with business and technology priorities.
• You have deep knowledge of technology supplier markets, cloud economics, software licensing models, cybersecurity solutions, and emerging AI technologies.
• You have led complex negotiations and supplier relationships with significant business and financial impact.
• You have a minimum of 3-5 years of people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
• You have experience leading managers and supporting organizations through periods of growth, change, and transformation.
• You are highly skilled at influencing senior leaders and building trusted relationships across Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, and business teams.
• You are comfortable navigating competing priorities, delivering difficult recommendations, and driving alignment without formal authority.
• You have strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills and can translate market insights into strategic business decisions.
• You are an effective communicator who can present complex technology and sourcing concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You are a strategic thinker who combines business partnership, category expertise, and people leadership to create lasting enterprise value.
• You have a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree or relevant sourcing certifications are a plus.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $185,107-$314,682

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
