Job Description:

To prepare Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals for company products and deliver technical training courses. This role also involves providing technical support to Customer Service as needed. Acting as a Project Liaison for the team, it includes overseeing multiple projects, managing the O&M training team's cost and schedule, and maintaining daily interfaces with Project Managers, Engineering teams, and Customers.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Prepare Operations manuals, Maintenance manuals, and User guides for company products by researching technical documents, interviewing technical resources, and compiling data into clear and easy-to-follow manuals.
  • Prepare various product training materials and presentations.
  • Collate source information from design and development groups and incorporate internal and customer comments.
  • Circulate draft documents for input and review following company quality procedures, detailing changes accordingly.
  • Track manual production progress through draft, review, approval, and submittal cycles.
  • Define training solutions based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Customer requirements while gathering all necessary feedback through liaison with technical contributors.
  • Coordinate with the safety group to ensure warnings and cautions listed in hazard logs are documented in relevant training materials and manuals.
  • Ensure manuals describe safe practices for preventive and corrective maintenance procedures beyond Hazard Log entries.
  • Work collaboratively with training contributors to ensure consistent and complete content.
  • Deliver technical training courses to customers, compiling training guides, aids, and audio/visual course materials.
  • Document operating procedures, troubleshooting strategies, and preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for distributed systems.
  • Design, develop, and deliver courses for instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and classroom formats.
  • Provide technical support to the Customer Service department and customers as required.
  • Respond to Project Lead requests and manage tasks related to bids and proposals.
  • Track assigned projects, provide regular status reports to Training Manager, and monitor hours/resource allocation to ensure projects are managed effectively.
  • Conduct weekly/bi-weekly meetings with the Training Manager to discuss project deliverables, schedules, and hours management.


Key Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical writing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical training experience with complex systems and solutions.
  • Proven didactic skills, knowledge of teaching methods, and superior professional writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret hardware/software/system specifications and documentation.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior customer service and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess staff skills and competency levels.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electronics/Technology or equivalent experience.
  • A+ Certification would be advantageous.
  • Certification in Adult Learning Principles and Project Management is highly desirable.
  • Experience in project management and/or developing bids and proposals


Total Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan) : $81,577 - $104,586
