Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation for software products, systems, APIs, and business processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and support teams to produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, installation manuals, release notes, knowledge base articles, FAQs, and API documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information.
  • Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Document software features, workflows, system architecture, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Review and update existing documentation based on product changes and user feedback.
  • Manage documentation repositories and version control.
  • Support product releases by preparing release notes and customer-facing documentation.
  • Follow documentation best practices, style guides, and content governance.
  • Assist in creating visual content such as diagrams, flowcharts, and screenshots where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-6 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software or IT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical concepts.
  • Experience creating API documentation and developer guides is preferred.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Confluence, Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Markdown, or Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Technical Writing or Technical Communication.
  • Experience documenting cloud platforms, SaaS products, APIs, or enterprise applications.
