Full Job Description
What you'll be doing

The Marketing Activation team is focused on delivering connected, data-driven client journeys that create meaningful experiences across channels. As a Technical Solution Lead, Marketing Activation, you'll lead the technical solution design and implementation required to bring new omnichannel journeys to life. You'll partner closely with Product Managers and line of business teams to shape journey requirements, assess communication channels, define targeting and offer constructs, and identify the technology and data components needed for delivery. Working across Technology, Data Science, Digital Platforms, Quality Assurance, and development teams, you'll create end-to-end technical roadmaps and ensure solution components are integrated effectively. You'll also oversee client journey builds within platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, support pilot execution, and help guide successful releases and ongoing journey enhancements.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed
  • Lead technical solution delivery - Partner with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Developers, and Solution Architects to define, document, and deliver end-to-end technical solutions that support new client journeys and business requirements.
  • Build and implement client journeys - Oversee journey creation, tactic implementation, and data integration across marketing technology platforms, ensuring each build aligns with the overall solution design and client experience goals.
  • Coordinate pilots and releases - Plan and execute business pilots for new journeys by developing test cases, coordinating user communications, gathering feedback, and supporting issue resolution to enable successful launches and releases.
  • Monitor and optimize performance - Track in-market journeys, analyze reports and dashboards, identify issues that may impact client experience or key performance indicators, and recommend improvements based on results and insights.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment - Act as a central point of contact across partner teams, communicate progress and dependencies clearly, and help ensure delivery stays on track across upstream and downstream workstreams.
  • Strengthen project discipline - Support risk and issue management, quality assurance, and documentation practices by maintaining accurate project materials and contributing to continuous improvement within Technology Operations project management practices.

Who you are

  • You're skilled at connecting business needs to technical solutions. You can translate business requirements into clear technical needs and work confidently across technology, data, digital, and quality assurance teams to move initiatives forward.
  • You're organized and detail-oriented. You manage multiple dependencies, maintain accurate documentation, and keep delivery activities moving with a high standard of quality and accountability.
  • You're digitally savvy. You're comfortable working with marketing technology platforms and evolving tools, including platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • You're a collaborative relationship builder. You build strong partnerships across teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and bring a thoughtful, respectful approach to working with others.
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
