About the Role

Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world-class product lines. Based out of our Calgary office, the successful candidate will manage an assigned territory encompassing Calgary and a portion of Southern Alberta, working with a diverse customer base that includes EPCs, OEMs, and end users.

This role is primarily focused on Oil & Gas accounts with some exposure into Light Industrial markets.

The customer base includes:
• Corporate Head Offices
• Engineering Firms
• Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

The Technical Sales Representative will promote a broad portfolio of products, including measurement, flow control, pressure management, and safety devices, as well as water and wastewater equipment and specialized piping solutions.

We are seeking a candidate with experience supporting customers in the Oil & Gas, and Light Industrial markets.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Acting as the Account Manager for an established customer base
    • Actively pursuing new business opportunities to grow installed product market share
    • Providing technical product support and promoting Centrix service offerings
    • Delivering internal and external product seminars and presentations
    • Driving sales growth and profitability within the assigned territory
    • Liaising with principal manufacturers
    • Participating in relevant industry associations

    • Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote new sales
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite.
    • De-escalate and resolve problems and issues.
    • Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
    • Ability to travel out of town and overnight as required.
    • Ability to travel to the USA as required


Who We're Looking For

  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related technical diploma is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the Oil & Gas Industry and Light Industrial sector.
  • Familiarity with control valves and relief valves is highly advantageous.
  • A clean driver's abstract and a demonstrated commitment to safety are required.
