Title: Technical Recruiter
Location: Hybrid in the DMV area
Terms: Full time

Position Overview
We're hiring a Technical Recruiter to our Talent Acquisition team at RIVA. This
person will be central to hiring for both active roles and proposal work, working
closely with teams across the company to attract great talent. You'll serve as a
trusted partner to hiring managers and leadership, and help support our hiring
strategy.

Core Responsibilities
  • Recruiting Lifecycle Management
    • Own the recruiting process from creation of the requisition to the offering and closing of candidates
    • Participate in interviews and integrate information gained about candidates with hiring manager to make the best hiring decision
    • Determine job offer details; negotiate, prepare, and extend new hire offers
  • Stakeholder Partnership
    • Partner with hiring managers to create and review job requisitions, defining and validating key position requirements (e.g., education, experience, technical competencies, travel and/or relocation requirements)
    • Partner with proposal teams to support recruiting efforts for new business pursuits by sourcing, screening, and preparing qualified candidates in advance of contract awards
    • Establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity, and skilled communications with managers, peers, and candidates
  • Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
    • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates
    • Must be adept with passive sourcing and talent engagement methods
    • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future consideration
  • Operations, Reporting & Compliance
    • Accurately document and track candidates in the applicant tracking system
    • Use metrics to communicate progress with hiring managers and leadership
    • Comply with government, RIVA, and employment laws, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Programs & Continuous Improvement
    • May lead the planning and execution of hiring events, both locally and nationally
    • Actively participates and contributes to process improvement strategies and projects with stakeholders across the company, including hiring managers and influencers and RIVA Corporate departments


Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of technical recruiting experience
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a government contracting environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the recruiting life cycle, employment law, and the importance of capturing accurate information to ensure compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results and meeting and exceeding expectations; this includes helping hiring managers make better interviewing and hiring decisions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated success identifying passive candidates through various channels
  • Familiarity with using metrics to track progress and report results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Technical proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Related degree or equivalent work experience.
