Position Description
ARServices is seeking a highly experienced Technical Project Manager to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Research and Development (RD) Nuclear Technologies (NT) Directorate. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in managing research and development (R&D) and/or software development programs who are excited to contribute to mission-critical national security and defense technology initiatives.

The Technical Project Manager will advise and assist government leadership on major programmatic decisions, support division leadership with key leader engagements, and track, coordinate, and respond to internal and external taskers for the supported NT division and the overall RD-NT Program Management Office (PMO) A&AS team.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
  • Advise and assist with the management of NT programs involving research and development of CWMD technologies and capabilities, software development, and deployment.
  • Assist with all aspects of NT division leadership team (Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief) tasks and key leader engagements, including preparation for Senior Steering Groups, Key Leader Engagements, conferences, working groups, and meetings.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to government program managers in program management, financial management, acquisition, and budget matters.
  • Track, coordinate, and respond to internal and external taskers for the supported division and as part of the overall RD-NT PMO A&AS team.
  • Draft and edit information papers, briefings, and other products for senior leadership.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent competence.
  • Experience with DoD R&D or Science & Technology (S&T) program management.
  • Experience drafting and editing information papers, briefings, and other products for senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with ETMS2, SharePoint Online, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams.

Security Clearance Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI, FRD, RD, and CNWDI.

Location & Travel
This is a full-time position based at DTRA Headquarters in Fort Belvoir, VA, with no travel expected.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Familiarity with DTRA as an organization or other similar DoD experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Previous experience with DTRA or DoD acquisition and/or budget processes.
  • Significant knowledge of nuclear detection capabilities, nuclear technologies, and/or combating WMD/CBRN threats.

Compensation at ARServices is determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including education, relevant experience, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, internal equity, external market considerations, geographic location, security clearance level, contract labor category and funding requirements, organizational needs, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full-time status. Actual starting compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and the factors identified above.

Posted Salary Range USD $94,825 - $181,590 / Yr.
