Technical Program Manager III to drive hardware development programs for next-generation consumer electronics, with a focus on Smart Glasses. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in
hardware engineering and technical program management, with a proven track record of coordinating engineering deliverables, supplier activities, hardware builds, qualification, and manufacturing readiness across complex cross-functional teams.
Location: Remote - PST preferred

Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 5 days/week

Responsibilities- Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating engineering design deliverables, including specifications, design experiments, validation plans, and hardware engineering milestones.
- Drive hardware component delivery, supplier coordination, and qualification activities to support development builds and mass-production timelines.
- Develop development, delivery, build, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, supplier lead times, and business priorities.
- Coordinate product design convergence, design lock, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Plan Design of Experiments (DOE), build matrices, material readiness, and hardware engineering deliverables for system builds.
- Manage program status, risks, top issues, dependencies, and potential schedule setbacks while providing clear updates to engineering teams and leadership.
- Collaborate across engineering, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and other cross-functional teams to support Smart Glasses program planning and build strategy.
Internal Responsibilities- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Required Qualifications and Skills- 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering or technical program management within consumer electronics hardware.
- Experience managing technology development programs from product design through manufacturing and qualification.
- Experience working with overseas hardware suppliers and managing hardware component delivery.
- Experience with ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
- Knowledge of phase-gate technology development processes.
- Experience with mechanical system development, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tooling, validation, and characterization.
- Experience coordinating a large number of cross-functional partners and multiple programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including regular program status reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, top issues, and engineering deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills- Prior experience in a hardware engineering role with transition into technical program management.
- Experience working with a large number of cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners.
- Experience supporting consumer electronics product development, particularly complex hardware programs.
- Experience with Smart Glasses, wearable technology, or other emerging hardware products.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required.
