As a Technical Program Manager (TPgM), you will be responsible for forecasting and managing data-center and resource growth within a cost envelope by partnering with developers, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) and Infrastructure teams so that resources are available when and where needed. You will program manage large cross functional programs to drive transparency and insights into resource growth trends. You will lead large efficiency efforts, enhance provisioning processes and policies in partnership with YouTube Resource Management engineering as efficiency is a key focus for our team.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities - Lead complex projects by working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate with cross-functional partners. Analyze usage trends and partner with engineers to estimate and acquire resources for feature launches while adhering to financial objectives.
- Act as process owner for internal TPU allocations, working with executive engineering leadership to ensure our TPUs are deployed in alignment with YouTube's key priorities. Triage resource-requests to fund new launches, system migrations, and infrastructure projects while maintaining appropriate supply buffers.
- Become a subject-matter-expert and consultant on technical and financial trade-offs in data-center resource management.
- Partner with YouTube Resource Management engineering to design and build tooling to help scale the planning process.
- Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
