About the job

The Product Quality Assurance Lead, acting as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Test, will define, prioritize, and drive optimized testing for Google products to ensure a exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities include guaranteeing test coverage, identifying gaps, analyzing escaped defects to prevent regressions, and driving critical issue resolution before key milestones. This role demands a highly individual in wireless communications, significant experience in Test TPM, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

The Product Test team ensures exceptional customer experiences for Google's new (NPI) and In-market Phones, Hearables, and Wearables. Using specialized testing methodologies, we translate critical user feedback into actionable hardware (HW) and software (SW) improvements.

We define Customer Use Journeys (CUJs) from customer insights, execute targeted tests, and provide engineering teams with the data needed to resolve issues efficiently within tight product development cycles. Through collaboration with cross-functional (x-fn) partners, we drive these crucial fixes to completion.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop comprehensive, user-centric test strategies, methodologies, and plans in collaboration with HW/SW partners and testing teams. Review product/feature KPIs to inform strategy.
  • Prioritize and drive test execution, ensuring robust coverage focused on critical user scenarios and pain points.
  • Oversee the management and analysis of test results across cross-functional teams. Drive the identification and resolution of critical issues before key milestones.
  • Conduct escaped defect analysis to optimize test plans and prevent regressions in future products. Build and maintain strong carrier partnerships, including providing technical support during user trials.
