Overview

Responsible for maximizing the value of finance technology products by partnering with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and IT teams to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and decision-making. Owns the product roadmap, backlog, and release planning while collaborating with business stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and support partners to drive successful delivery and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple products and priorities, partnering with stakeholders at all levels, and working effectively with vendors and development teams. Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and deliver high-value solutions.

This role supports Finance & Accounting functions, including Treasury and FP&A. Experience with finance business processes, systems, and platforms is preferred

The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.

Essential Functions

  • Build trusted partnerships with Finance & Accounting business leaders and serve as the primary liaison between business, IT, and vendor partners.
  • Intake, assess, and prioritize business requests; manage the product backlog, roadmap, and release plans to align with business value and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with engineering teams and vendors to estimate, sequence, and deliver enhancements using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Gather, document, and refine business, functional, technical, and non-functional requirements, including process flows, gap analyses, and solution designs.
  • Lead testing activities, including test planning, execution, validation, and user acceptance support to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation opportunities, system enhancements, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues to support successful product delivery and operational stability.
  • Coordinate releases, upgrades, and deployments, ensuring readiness activities, communications, testing, and post-production support are completed.
  • Monitor system health, performance, support queues, and service levels; troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolution of escalated incidents.
  • Maintain governance and compliance requirements, including user access reviews, audit support, and SOX control validation.
  • Partner with vendors to manage performance, prioritize work, and influence product roadmaps and future enhancements.
  • Research industry trends and emerging technologies to provide recommendations that support long-term business and technology strategy.
  • Mentor and support the development of less experienced Product Owners and team members.

  • Strong understanding of software development and technical concepts, with experience working in Agile environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach to product development

  • Microsoft PowerBI Reporting, and AI or similar experience
