Job Summary

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will serve as a data solutions and ad tech platform expert, supporting Throtle's identity solutions and data onboarding, including new client requests, platform implementations, and ongoing data monitoring.

This role requires analytical thinking for each data request and hands-on assistance with platform or technical challenges to ensure clients are fully supported.

As a key stakeholder, the Technical Account Manager will work closely with internal teams-including Sales, Customer Support, DevOps, Data, and Application Development-to support data workflow processes and manage issues through resolution. This position reports to the Senior Director, Data Operations and Integrations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work directly with clients to align data files with their identity solution use cases.
  • Oversee the work item queue and communicate match or onboarding requirements for new and existing clients to data and technology teams.
  • Support the Sales team in pursuit of new opportunities.
  • Ensure audience segments are properly set up at the end platform for data ingestion.
  • Proactively monitor new and ongoing client solutions for issues or outages.
  • Escalate critical issues to upper management.
  • Develop strong knowledge of all identity solution offerings through independent learning and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Understand all regulations and laws applicable to assigned roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures governing assigned responsibilities, including compliance with security requirements for ePHI.

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Experience managing varied workstreams with minimal supervision.
  • Client-service mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide timely updates to multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, prioritize time-sensitive requests, multitask effectively, and keep multiple projects on track.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, engineering, or information technology.
  • Proven experience in technical account management, customer success, or a similar role, preferably in a technology-related industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • At least three years of industry experience in advertising or marketing technology, programmatic ad tech, audience strategy, platform operations, or a technical customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with products or services that require frequent or continuous distribution of high-volume data.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with data platforms, such as DMPs, DSPs, and SSPs.
  • Knowledge of data transfer protocols, including SFTP.
  • Basic understanding of audience-building fundamentals and terminology, such as Boolean logic.
  • Knowledge of basic data structures, such as JSON and CSV.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.


The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $57,000.00 - $142,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
